Customer Story: Healthcare Organization

A creative approach led to the expedited design and production of a customized uniform for our customer

Facility renovation. New branding. Aggressive delivery schedule. A creative approach to custom design expedited delivery.

Challenge

A national healthcare organization was interested in chef coats and kitchen shirts for its hospital food service staff. They were in the midst of a facility renovation project to refresh decades-old cafeteria decor and initially asked about tan chef shirts as a complement to their new color scheme.

As a result of a few key questions, we discovered they were actually hoping for something with a little more customized flair, but since the remodeled facility was due to open in a few short months, the customer assumed there was not enough lead time to produce a custom design.

Solution

While customized uniform design typically requires more upfront time, our team was determined to find a way to delight this client with a uniform that would proudly celebrate their dynamic new space. After studying their renovated space and interior color schemes, our sales team proposed slightly-modified versions of our existing in-stock coats.

Our designers sketched versions of our short-sleeve mesh coat that incorporated the new color palette into various components of the jacket, including collar, piping, pocket trim and buttons. Working with the customer, the designs were reviewed and revised over the next week, and a physical sample based on the sketches was created for their approval.

Once approval was secured and production planned, our onsite event team scheduled a multi-day fitting event for all affected locations. This allowed each employee to try on garments and order appropriate sizes. That data drove our initial production runs.

Our production team kicked into high gear to ensure delivery by grand re-opening day.

Results

The customer was thrilled with the look and feel of the uniforms. The garments were exceptionally well-received by staff and executives. The customer was even more excited that it all was achieved ahead of schedule.

Our team successfully delivered three significant wins for our client:
